  1. Download 32-bit version of R1/beta1 and burn to DVD

  2. Boot MacBook Pro from DVD and press any key when the Haiku splash screen appears Screenshot

  3. At the Welcome screen, click Run Installer → Continue → Set up partitions... Screenshot

  4. Click the internal disk (e.g., /dev/disk/ata/0/slave/raw) → Disk → Initialize → Intel Partition Map... Screenshot → Continue → Write changes → OK

  5. Click on the new line immediately under /dev/disk/ata/0/slave/raw → Partition → Create... Screenshot → check "Active partition" Screenshot → Create → Write changes

  6. Partition → Format → Be File System... Screenshot → Continue → Initialize Screenshot → Write changes → OK → close DriveSetup

  7. Back in Installer, select the new "Haiku" partition next to "Onto:" Screenshot and click Begin to start installation Screenshot

  8. Once installation completes, click Tools → Set up boot menu Screenshot → click the internal drive Screenshot → Install → Next Screenshot → Next Screenshot → Next Screenshot → set timeout as desired Screenshot → Next → Next Screenshot → Write boot menu → Done Screenshot → close Installer window → Restart system
