Printing from OS X to a Windows Workgroup printer #

Many original print drivers do not support printing from a Mac to a Windows shared printer. Others have problems printing to Airport Extreme base stations. Here are two solutions:

PrintFab (shareware) - Billed as a "printer driver suite with RIP functionality", Printfab allows network printing to many otherwise unsupported devices. Supported printers
Gutenprint (free and open source) - "High quality drivers for Canon, Epson, Lexmark, Sony, Olympus, and PCL printers." Like PrintFab, it supports accessing many printers over a Windows Workgroup. Supported printers
