Extract files from remotely hosted archives #
Like HttpDisk, re7zip can extract individual files from remote archives (cf. Download just imagex.exe (568k) instead of WAIK (1,782,580k)). Unlike HttpDisk, re7zip:
- does not require installation or admin rights
- is cross-platform (Java-based)
- offers wide format support: 7z, ARJ, BZIP2, CAB, CHM, CPIO, CramFS, DEB, DMG, FAT, GZIP, HFS, ISO, LZH, LZMA, MBR, MSI, NSIS, NTFS, RAR, RPM, SquashFS, TAR, UDF, VHD, WIM, WIM, XAR, XZ, Z, ZIP
