TIFF editor for Windows #

Irfan Paint plugin An Internet search for "TIFF editor for Windows" turns up several shareware options, none of which outperformed IrfanView's built-in Paint plugin^* for erasing stray marks from B&W CCITT G4 TIFs and resaving with the same compression algorithm:

Original TIFF file: 188KB
- IrfanView: 187KB
- Multi-Page TIFF Editor: 192KB
- Advanced Tiff Editor: 192KB (added "DEMO" watermark in black line art)
- Corel PHOTO-PAINT 2020: 257KB (Windows trial would not download, so test was performed using macOS version (KBs remain reported in base 2 instead of the base 10 lunacy introduced in Snow Leopard))

ImageJ and Fiji offer only limited and buggy TIF CCITT G4 support, especially for batch processing.
